The affairs, business and property of The Poolewe Partnership LLP are being managed by the Joint Administrators, Alexander Iain Fraser and Thomas Campbell MacLennan, both of RSM Tenon Recovery, who act as agents of the company and without personal liability. Alexander Iain Fraser is licensed by the Insolvency Practitioners Association and Thomas Campbell MacLennan is licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Originally a coaching inn, (the principal building dates from 1570) the Poolewe Hotel has a long history of providing quality accommodation with the best in Scottish Highland hospitality.
During the second world war, senior naval personal were accommodated here, as the great Arctic convoys were assembled in the loch itself before leaving for the ports of northern Russia.
The Poolewe Hotel can be found at the head of Loch Ewe where the river Ewe, rushing down from Loch Maree, meets the water of the Minch.
The setting is magnificent; it looks both down the loch to the open sea, and across to the world famous gardens at Inverewe, a short walk away.
The hotel has been extended and re-appointed over the years and the guestrooms have recently been delightfully refurbished.
